Srinagar, 07 December 2024: The Annual Day of MA and MAK Hostels was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Gandhi Bhawan, Kashmir University, on December 6, 2024. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nilofer Khan, and Registrar, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, graced the occasion as chief guests, alongside several dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
The program began with a formal welcome address by Prof. Younis Rashid, Warden of MA Hostel, followed by the presentation of bouquets to the Vice Chancellor and Registrar by student proctors of both hostels. The Provost of Hostels warmly welcomed the guests and appreciated the efforts of the organizing team.
The event featured vibrant cultural performances, including music, dance, and artistic presentations by hostel boarders, which were met with great applause and admiration from the audience.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar, expressed gratitude to the organizers and applauded the students’ participation. Prof. Nilofer Khan, Vice Chancellor, congratulated both wardens and the Provost of Hostels for successfully organizing the event and commended the enthusiasm displayed by the hostel boarders.
Following the program, Prof. Nilofer Khan, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, and other dignitaries joined the students at the hostels and shared a dinner together, marking a memorable conclusion to the celebrations.
