Free Medical Camp Organized by 21 Bn, CRPF at Govt. High School, Daggapora, Ahmadnagar, Srinagar

Srinagar, 30 November 2024: A free medical camp was successfully organized by the 21st Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), as part of the “Civic Action Programme” at the Government High School in Daggapora, Ahmadnagar, Srinagar. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Anil Kumar Briksh, Commandant of 21 Bn CRPF, under the supervision of Shri R.C. Bishariya, DIG (Medical), GC CRPF, Srinagar.

The medical camp aimed to provide essential health services to the local community, especially to those who face challenges in accessing healthcare. Notable medical professionals including Dr. Tamanpreet Kaur (Medical Officer, 21 Bn CRPF), Dr. Mumtaj Hussain (Medical Officer, 82 Bn CRPF), and Dr. Asif Rashid (GDMO, 115 Bn CRPF) were present to conduct health check-ups and distribute free medicines.

The event witnessed participation from approximately 300 patients from the local community, including women, children, and the elderly. Healthcare screenings were conducted for various conditions such as anemia, diabetes, and hypertension, while counseling and medical advice were provided at no cost.

Shri Md. Ayoub Sheikh (DFO, Srinagar), Shri Ashiq Hussain (SDPO, Zedibal), and SHO Ahmednagar, Shri Sahail Mustaq, were also present to support the initiative. Local residents expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the 21 Bn CRPF to bring medical services to a remote and sensitive area like Lower Anchar Daggapora.

Commandant Shri Anil Kumar Briksh reassured the locals that the CRPF is committed to standing by them during challenging times and will continue to take the initiative in providing assistance through public initiatives and community services in the Srinagar Valley.

The medical camp commenced at 10 A.M. and continued until 5 P.M., marking a significant step in promoting health awareness and access to medical facilities in underserved areas.
