Bandipora:AFLAQ Global Foundation, Srinagar, in collaboration with Sharp Sight Eye Hospital and New SAM School, Benlipora Aloosa, Bandipora, successfully conducted a free eye check-up camp, aimed at promoting eye health and early detection of vision-related problems among the local population.
The camp witnessed a good response from residents of Benlipora, Aloosa, and nearby areas. A team of qualified ophthalmologists and paramedical staff from Sharp Sight Eye Hospital examined patients for common eye ailments, including refractive errors, cataract symptoms, and other vision disorders. Free consultations, basic medicines, and guidance on further treatment were also provided during the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of AFLAQ Global Foundation said that the initiative was part of their ongoing efforts to improve access to basic healthcare services, especially in rural and underserved areas. They emphasized the importance of regular eye check-ups, stating that timely diagnosis can prevent serious vision loss.
The management of New SAM School, Benlipora Aloosa, extended full support in organizing the camp and expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the program. They noted that such health initiatives not only benefit students but also serve the wider community.
