Proud Moment for Budgam: Local Athlete to Represent J&K UT in National Championship

Budgam, August 10, 2025 — The District Budgam Yogasana Sports Association is elated to announce that Basharat Hassan, a promising athlete from Charar-i-Sharief, Budgam, has been selected to represent the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir at the 6th Senior National Yogasana Sports Championship 2025–2026, scheduled to be held in Chhattisgarh from September 11 to 14, 2025.

This achievement reflects Basharat Hassan’s unwavering dedication, discipline, and passion for Yogasana, marking a significant milestone in his sporting journey. His selection brings pride not only to Charar-i-Sharief but to the entire Budgam district.

Special appreciation is extended to Mr. Shabir Ahmad Dar, Senior Yogasana Coach, J&K Sports Council, and Mr. Basit Nabi Wani, NIS Coach & Secretary, District Budgam Yogasana Sports Association, whose consistent guidance and mentorship have played a crucial role in nurturing his talent.
