Bandipora, March 24: A huge fire has broken out in the Ashtangoo Beat forest of the Benlipora Khuihama range in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The fire is spreading quickly, destroying trees and threatening wildlife.

The fire reportedly started last night and grew fast due to dry weather and strong winds. Thick smoke is rising from the forest, worrying people in nearby villages. The cause of the fire is not yet clear, but officials suspect it could be due to dry weather or dry leaves catching fire.
Forest officials, and firefighters, are trying to control the flames, but the hilly area is making their work difficult. “The fire is spreading fast, but we are doing everything we can to stop it,” a forest official said.
Many trees, including pine , have already been burned. Experts say such fires harm the environment and increase air pollution.
Authorities have advised people to stay away from the affected area and report any new fire outbreaks. More updates will follow as the situation develops.
