Ganderbal,29 December 2024: Syed Jamaat Ali Shaheen, Secretary of the Pahari Cell (PDP), has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kangan, particularly the youth of Gund and Gagangear, for their exemplary display of Kashmiri hospitality and humanity in assisting stranded tourists during challenging circumstances. Their selfless efforts have once again highlighted the spirit of “Kashmiriyat,” a testament to the region’s enduring culture of compassion and generosity. Shaheen also extended his appreciation to the district administration and police authorities for their prompt and effective measures to ensure the smooth functioning of services during the situation. Their dedication to public welfare deserves recognition and praise. However, Shaheen has urged the Power Development Department (PDD) to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply, especially during adverse weather conditions. Additionally, he called on the Health Department to provide 24×7 health services in the area to cater to the needs of residents and travelers alike. Shaheen emphasized that sustained and enhanced infrastructure in these vital sectors is crucial for ensuring the well-being of the people and supporting the region’s growing tourism industry.
