Review meeting conducted by Secretary DLSA Ganderbal

Ganderbal, October 31, 2024, Under the able directions & guidance of Mr. Abdul Nasir, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Ganderbal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal, Mr. Sheikh Babar Hussain, today conducted a review meeting with Legal Aid Defense Counsels & Panel lawyers of District Ganderbal to discuss the status & progress of assigned cases of legal aid beneficiaries.The meeting aimed to assess the current status, address challenges, and explore ways to enhance the delivery of free and competent legal services to the needy and the marginalized sections of the society. Secretary District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal emphasized the importance of providing free & competent legal services to marginalized communities, especially women, children, senior citizens, and victims of domestic violence. During the meeting, he also discussed key aspects including, review of pending cases and strategies for expedition’s disposal of cases, enhancing access to justice for marginalized sections of society and increasing awareness about available legal services. Secretary District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal urged the Legal Aid Defense Counsels & panel lawyers to work diligently towards ensuring justice for all beneficiaries, emphasizing the crucial role of legal aid in empowering vulnerable communities particularly in the District Ganderbal.
