GANDERBAL,21st, OCTOBER 2024:The sacrifices of J&K Police in the line of duty was marked with solemnity on the *Police Commemoration Day-2024* held at District Police Lines Ganderbal. On the directions of SSP Ganderbal *Shri Wasim Qadri-JKPS,* the event was chaired by Dy.SP DAR DPL Ganderbal *Shri Nazir Ahmad.* He took the salute and read out the names of Martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the sake of the Nation. Dy.SP DAR DPL Ganderbal stated that the whole country is observing the Police Commemoration Day, & we salute the courage, valour and sacrifices of our brave Martyrs for unity and integrity of the Nation, protecting the life and property of the people.The Commemoration Day Parade was also held in which contingents of District Police Ganderbal, JKAP 14th Bn., L/Ct. Bn., Home Guard & Police Band participated. The function was followed by wreath laying ceremony and showering of flowers on the photos of Martyrs in which Senior Police Officers, Guests and the members of Martyr families participated whole heartedly. Furthermore, Ganderbal Police distributed gifts among NOK’S of Police Martyrs. Later an interactive session was held in which Senior Police Officers listened patiently the grievances of families of Police Martyrs & assured them that their issues and problems pertaining to Police department will be followed for proper redressal and issues pertaining to Civil Administration will be taken up with Civil Administration for timely redressal.On conclusion of the ceremony, DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Nazir Ahmad thanked the families of Martyrs and other dignitaries for remembering the Bravehearts of Police.
