Kashmiri Cultural Exhibition by The Cardiff School, Charar-i-Sharief

Charar-i-Sharief, 10-Oct-2024: The Cardiff School, a reputed educational institution in Charar-i-Sharief, hosted a grand Kashmiri Cultural Exhibition aimed at celebrating the rich heritage and diverse traditions of Kashmir. The event took place on 10-Oct-2024 at the school premises, offering a unique platform for showcasing Kashmir’s cultural treasures.

The exhibition featured an array of activities and exhibits that highlight the artistic and cultural wealth of the region. Visitors explored:

Traditional Handicrafts: An exquisite display of Kashmiri craftsmanship, including pashmina shawls, wood carvings, and papier-mâché artifacts.

Ethnic Attire: A showcase of traditional Kashmiri clothing, from the iconic pheran to intricately embroidered garments.

The Director of The Cardiff School, Dr. Owais Mattoo emphasized the importance of such events, stating, “This exhibition is an opportunity for the people of Charar-i-Sharief and beyond to connect with Kashmir’s profound cultural roots. We hope this event inspires a deeper appreciation for the beauty and uniqueness of our traditions.”
