Tree Plantation Drive and Pledge ceremony to commemorate the GOI initiative

*Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam* at Upper Primary School, Chak Kigam*_Lets nurture the nature so that we can have better future._*Increasing exploitation of resources & pollution are some of the major threats to environment. Without trees, the existence of human life, as well as other species on earth is impossible. Keeping the above as backdrop, *Chak Kigam Army Camp alongwith Kamraj Forest Division conducted a *Tree Plantation Drive* and *Pledge ceremony* at Upper Primary School , Chak Kigam. A total of *70* indls including school student, teachers and officials from Kamraj Forest Division participated in the good cause to expand the importance and necessity of going green. The event also raised awareness about initiatives like saying no to plastic, planting tree in a year, not to throw garbage in rivers & nalas , drive less & use bicycle to preserve our mother earth. Apart from tree plantation *Pledge ceremony* was also conducted for school students. Pledge was conducted by Mr Farooq Ahmad Dar, Block Forest Officer drugmulla The event was extremely fruitful as students were deeply gratified to be part of this noble event and pledged to change their outlook towards our environment.
