DC G’bl reviews progress of schemes under Mission Youth

GANDERBAL, JULY 16: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a meeting at DC office, here to review the progress of Mission Youth schemes, Sanklap and Skilling Courses in the district.During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of several initiatives under the Mission Youth programme viz. Mumkin, Tejaswini, and the Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative.The discussion also covered various Skill Development courses, awareness camps, and other relevant parameters of the scheme.Emphasizing the importance of youth engagement, the DC directed the Assistant Director of Employment to expedite progress under Mission Youth by conducting awareness and registration camps involving local youth across the district. This initiative aims to ensure that maximum youth benefit from the self-employment opportunities provided.The DC also highlighted the necessity of imparting skilled training to the youth, enabling them to become proficient in various trades. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to engage youth under different schemes.Furthermore, the DC instructed all line departments to prepare a comprehensive skill development training chart. This chart is intended to offer ample opportunities to the youth in both manufacturing and service sectors.Among others, the meeting was attended by GM DIC, CPO, Assistant Director Employment, District Lead Bank, District Heads of JKEDI, KVK and other concerned officers.
