The Sociopolitical activist Syed Karar Hashmi strongly condemned the attack on the bus, carrying pilgrims on their way to the Shiv Khori temple in Teryath village of Poni area in district Reasi and described it as cowardly and a deliberate attempt to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said in a statement that Kashmir stands united in condemning the brutal attack on Yatris, which has resulted in the loss of lives. At least 10 people were killed and 40 were injured after a bus fell into a gorge. He observed that these terrorists are the enemies of peace, development and humanity and the perpetrators and those who support and shelter them should be severely punished. Such wanton acts of violence can have no justification. The police should not spare the perpetrators at earliest.
