*As a social activist, I, Muzamil Mehmood, strongly condemn the shameful act committed by Jibran Dar against Aijaz Tantry, a dedicated journalist working with Kashmir Script. Such behavior towards journalists is completely unacceptable and must not be tolerated in any form.Journalists are the backbone of a democratic society, and they deserve our utmost respect and support. Attacking or disrespecting a journalist is an attack on free speech and the right to information. It’s essential that we stand together to condemn such behavior and work towards creating a safer environment for journalists to do their jobs without fear of harassment or intimidation.I commend Jibran Dar for taking responsibility and issuing a public apology. However, we must ensure that these apologies are accompanied by meaningful actions to prevent such incidents in the future. I call on everyone to support and respect journalists, and to hold those who harm them accountable.Let us work together to create a society where journalists can operate without fear, and where respect for each other is paramount.
