Inspiring SVEEP Campaign Gains Momentum in Ganderbal with exemplary team effort

GANDERBAL, MAY 03: Door to Door Female voter awareness programme ahead of Lok Sabha elections widely appreciated Ganderbal District has become a beacon of voter awareness due to the spirited progress of the ongoing Mission SVEEP (HER VOTE MATTERS). Starting strong on the first four days of the Female Voter Awareness Campaign, teams made significant headway by visiting 5369 houses and engaging a total of 12206 female voters. This initial success set a solid foundation for continued efforts. This momentum showcased remarkable interdepartmental coordination, 745 teams from the Education, ICDS, and NRLM sectors, consisting of 1849 enthusiastic members.As part of the SVEEP Programme, this innovative mission aims for 100% awareness among female voters in District Ganderbal, with a goal to surpass past voting percentages seen in Lok Sabha elections. The mission involves teachers, Anganwadi workers, and SHG members who are visiting homes door-to-door to educate female voters about the voting process, from using the EVM to understanding the importance of each vote and its impact on overall development.Leadership has played a pivotal role in this campaign, with Cluster Heads personally visiting door-to-door to uplift the spirits and morale of their teams. This hands-on leadership is seen not just as a duty but as a commitment to ensuring that every female voter is informed and ready to participate in the democratic process.The programme was initiated by District Election Officer Ganderbal, Shyambir and facilitated by Deputy DEO, Abid Iqbal Malik, Nodal Officer SVEEP, along with CDPOs of Lar, Ganderbal, Kangan, and Coordinators of NRLM.As Ganderbal continues on this path, the dedication of its citizens and leaders paints a hopeful picture of democratic engagement and empowerment across the region. This initiative stands as a shining example of how unity and collective effort can bring about significant change in voter participation and awareness.
