Lok Sabha Elections 2024G’bal hosts marathon, cycle race for voter awareness under SVEEP GANDERBAL,

APRIL 24: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal, in collaboration with the District Administration and the Chief Education Officer Ganderbal today successfully conducted a marathon and cycle race to promote voter awareness among the youth.These events were part of the broader Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative aimed at encouraging an informed and active electorate.The marathon, initiated by Deputy Chief Education Officer Ganderbal/ Nodal Officer SVEEP, Rumaisa Sangeen, began at the Benhama Bypass and concluded at the Environmental Park Manigam.Concurrently, the cycle race kicked off at the Clock Tower Duderhama, led by the Zonal Physical Education Officer of Ganderbal and finished at the Government College of Physical Education Ganderbal via Fatepora.These activities saw the participation of approximately 700 spirited students from various schools across the district, highlighting the importance of each vote and urging especially first-time voters to partake in the democratic process.
