Police North Zone, Srinagar Organise Drug De-Addiction Awareness Program in MPML Higher Secondary School Bab Dem

Srinagar,27 March 2024: A drug de-addiction awareness program cum debate was organized by Police North Zone, Srinagar at MPML Hr Sec School Babadem. The event witnessed the participation of Religious Scholars including President Central Coordinator Imam Mosques of Jammu and Kashmir Maulana Syed Waris Shah Bukhari, members from media houses, respected community members, school staff, students, traders, civilians from various walks of life, and jurisdictional officers including SHO Safakadal, SHO MR Gunj, ICPP Urdu Bazar, ICPP Noorbagh, and ICPP Bonmohalla among others.

The participants were enlightened about the menace of drug abuse, the necessity of de-addiction, the procedures involved, and the role of law enforcement agencies.

Religious scholars shed light on the topic from a theological perspective, adding depth to the discussions. SP North City, Sh Showkat Ah Dar (JKPS), served as the Chief Organiser and graced the occasion with his presence. SDPO MR Gunj, Junaid Wali, delivered a lecture on the role of law enforcement in combating drug abuse.

Several students delivered speeches on the topic, and they were acknowledged with momentos, cash rewards, and certificates of participation. Members of media houses were also recognized with momentos for their contribution to spreading awareness.
