Police Seizes Illegal Properties Worth Rs.60 Lacs from Notorious Drug Peddlers in Baramulla
Baramulla, Feb 28 (KS) : Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached a property of Drug peddlers in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, In a significant development, the police in Baramulla attached properties worth approximately Rs.60.00 lacs, belonging to notorious drug peddlers Mohd Ayoob Shah and Ghulam Mohammad Shah, alias Gulshah. He said both individuals are sons of Abdul Khaliq and residents of Ladoora Rafiabad, District Baramulla.He said the action taken by the police falls under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of the NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked to the case FIR No. 18/2024 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act of PS Baramulla.During the course of the investigation and inquiry conducted by the police, these properties were identified as illegally acquired. It is believed that the properties were acquired through the illicit trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances by the drug peddlers he added. (KS)
