Shocking : Another family dispute turns deadly in Hajin as man killed by cousin
Srinagar, Feb 19 : A 38-year-old man was killed in Hajjin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after being hit by his cousin brother during a heated altercation.
Sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the incident marks the third violent family dispute in the region in recent weeks.
Sources said that the victim, identified as Ghulam Mohiuddin Parray, sustained critical injuries during the scuffle and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at SKIMS Soura medical institution after being hospitalized for a night.
Reports further said that the fight between the two families escalated over a family matter, leading to the fatal confrontation.
Sources said that police swiftly apprehended the accused and have launched an investigation into the matter.
Pertinently, This incident adds to a string of unfortunate events in Kashmir, including the killing of a young individual in Sopore by his brother, the death of an elderly man in Ganderbal, and a fight between two brothers in Pattan which left one critically injured. (KS)
