ADC presides over mega event at Sonamarg
GANDERBAL, JUNE 21: To commemorate the 10th International Yoga Day, the District Administration Ganderbal today organised a grand Yoga session at Government College of Physical Education (GCPE), Gadoora Ganderbal.The event saw enthusiastic participation from various departments, including district officers, college students and staff, community members and students from various schools. Instructors educated participants about the benefits of yoga, emphasizing that yoga is an invaluable gift from the ancient Indian tradition. They highlighted yoga’s role in promoting physical development, mental relaxation, and the enhancement of strength, flexibility, and immunity.Simultaneously, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad, took part in a yoga event at Sonamarg, which also saw a large number of participants. Speaking on the occasion, the ADC underscored the importance of yoga in daily life, stating that yoga is not merely an exercise but a means to discover a sense of oneness with ourselves, the world, and nature.Similar events were also held in multiple locations of the district.
