J&K POLICE DISTRICT GANDERBAL ALONGWITH REVENUE & EXCISE DEPARTMENT CARRIED OUT DESTRUCTION DRIVE OF POPPY CULTIVATION AND WILD BANGH.
GANDERBAL, 29TH MAY, 2024On the directions of SSP Ganderbal *Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS* and continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drug addiction from the society, J&K Police District Ganderbal carried out destruction drive of wild poppy & wild Bangh cultivation on massive scale at various places in the District.The drive was carried out by Police Parties led by SHOs under the supervision of SDPO Kangan Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS & Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS Hqr’s Ganderbal along with the team Revenue and Excise Department. Ganderbal Police is committed to eradicate dreadful menace of drugs from the society and such drives would be continued in upcoming days also.General Public of Ganderbal is requested to come forward with the information regarding such landowners, who indulges in large scale poppy cultivation so that they can be dealt as per law.
