*ADC Spr visited to water logged areas, late night in Spr town*.
Addl. Dy. Commissioner Sopore, S A Raina, JKAS conducted late night an extensive visit to Model Town Sopore and Noorabad Bye pass to examine the situation and to get the first-hand appraisal of the water logged areas. JCB of JCB has been deployed to cut the link to release water pressure and relief to the people by lowering down the water level as otherwise it may enter into the houses.The ADC directed R&B Sopore and MC Sopore to expedite the strengthening work on embankments of drains besides de- slitting and also remove the RCC pipes laid down people so that there would be enough carrying passage fir water to hv end relief to the people. ADC appealed the people not to b panic as the Administration is already geared up its all agencies for the safeguard of precious Human lives and property; and also called for close coordination between the departments to ensure timely rescue and rehabilitation as and when needed.Meanwhile, ADC met several deputations during his visit wherein they demanded appropriate measures that needed to be done so as to avert any kind of eventuality. He assured the deputations that their genuine demands would be redressed on priority.
